Mysuru District Administration demolished NTMS Government School using JCBs on Monday night. Over 20 Kannada and farmers leaders have been arrested by the police who tried to stop the demolition. However, as per reports, this school had already shifted to the nearby Maharani College campus and the land was handed over to the Ramakrishna mutt for the construction of the Viveka Memorial in the year 2013. The Kannada and farmers activists were against the government’s move. They had sought the intervention of Chamarajanagara MP V. Srinivas Prasad.
