The Mysuru Dasatra officially begins here today when former chief minister Shri SM Krishna lighted the lamp in front of mother Chamundeshwari at 8:15 am. State Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai and other Cabinet ministers and dignitaries were also present during the inauguration event. Mysore District-in-charge Minister ST Somashekhar, R. Ashok, BC Patil, Sunil Kumar, Narayana Gowda, Shashikala Jolle, MP Pratap Sinha, MLA SA Ramadas, Tanveer Seth, Harshavardhana, GT Deve Gowda, Nagendra, Manjunath, Srikanthagowda and other dignitories were present during the inauguration event. Due to the Covid restriction, only 400 people were allowed at the Chamundi hill during the inauguration time. Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai will inaugurate the cultural program at the Palace premises at 6 pm today. The event will be presented by the Music Vidwan, at 7.30 pm by the cultural arts team. Locals are allowed at the cultural program of the palace.
