Congress candidate Rajni Annaiah won ward 36 by-election

Congress candidate Rajni Annaiya won the by-election results of ward 36 of the Mysuru City Corporation by a total margin of 997 votes.

JDS candidate Lilavati and BJP's Shobha were the main opponents. Rajani has got 4,113 votes, Lilavati of JDS got 2,116 votes and BJP's Shobha got 601 votes.

Previously this ward was represented by JDS.
